Goran Bregovic’s New CD Sold With Toilet Paper

No, it’s not a joke.  Thanks to a business model already established in the Balkans as the most profitable one, where artists are moving their stuff alongside everyday products (see examples below), now you can buy a pack of “Perfex” toilet paper rolls, and you will also get Goran Bregovic’s new CD, „Champagne for the Gypsies“.

Question is, does it go the other way around, if you buy Bregovic’s new album – do you get the toilet paper?

To make things even more bizzare, CD cover shows Bregovic resembling a guy taking a big dump.

CD of folk singer Aca Lukas was sold alongside white-powder clothes detergent, which was odd considering his admitted habit of using cocaine.

The unofficial king of placing his music alongside household products, Zdravko Colic, was the first one to start the trend in Serbia. He sold his CD’s alongside detergents, mobile phone cards, and even electricity bills.
